The Shirt Maker's Express pattern is the perfect basic shirt with a modern fit, destined to be your "go-to" shirt pattern. With just a few options, Shirt Maker's Express will transform from a dress shirt made from fine Italian cotton shirting, to a comfortable sports shirt by using a cotton/linen plaid and even a casual over shirt when you choose corduroy or chambray. Optional back darts help give the wearer a trim look and Full Bust Adjustment instructions are included. Other options include cutting the Cuffs, Sleeve Plackets and the Yoke on the bias of plaids, stipes or checks to give added interest. Choose monochromatic thread for the dress shirt style and try contrasting topstitching on a sport or casual shirt.

Anxious to make this my go-to shirt pattern.

Janet Pray really knows her stuff! I enjoy her teaching in Craftsy classes so much that I have signed up for all of them, including this shirtmaking class. It's a new way of thinking about sewing but it is worth the learning curve. Can hardly wait to have a wardrobe of classic shirts!

I got this to use with a crafty class, I haven't started the class yet, as I have to finish up other stuff. but I have used your other patterns and all of them are great. so I am not worried. I love the craftsy and only have one complaint, where were you when I started sewing, 50 years ago. LOL thank you for everything. Sally
