This is a terrific pattern. I finished my muslin yesterday and wore the top today to "test drive" it. It was comfortable and easy to wear. I showed it to my sewing group and everyone loved the neckline. I am strating on the final version tonight. It is one of my favorite patterns!
I have been pleased with all the Islander patterns that I have, however I haven't made this one yet. I'm sure it will not disappoint. The Islander Patterns come with a "Manual", not just a few vague instructions like some other pattern companies. Their instructions lead you step-by-step through the sewing process, and give you all the Islander Sewing Techniques as well. Buy it, you will love it!
I bought this pattern to make tops that would look great under jackets. I make one and discovered some fitting issues and some sewing issues. Mainly, I am full busted and the front hem road up. Also, the single knit I used occasionally was eaten by my machine which caused damage to the fabric. Janet Pray (herself!) answered my email and provided wonderful suggestions for altering the pattern slightly and fabric choice. I plan to make a revised version soon with the fabric Janet recommended.
