Great Handbook
I haven't been able to get much into the book as yet (just received it a couple of days ago), but it looks great. The only thing missing that I had hoped would be included is is Welt Pockets. Well worth the money to get all the Islander Sewing Techniques.

Professional and Personal Sewing and Handy Techniques
I found this workbook really great and easy to read and follow. There are really great techniques that cut down the amount of time of having to construct garments, using these techniques. I will have this workbook on my sewing table, ready to refer to and try the different methods of sewing garments, which is so easy and having them look professional. I am already using a lesser amount of pins!!!! Really impressed.

Perfect at home reference and teaching tool.
I love the breakdown of information, it's a lot like the Islander patterns. I really love all the pictures, and especially the templates at the end of the book so you can practice techniques without having to dig everything out in the middle of a project. I am really looking forward to working through and having my own samples, but until I finish my current project, this is a great reference and has already sped up both my speed and quality.
