    1. Garment sewing is fun again

It is so much fun to sew a pattern that goes together so well. Sleeves attach without a struggle and no pins needed. All brands of patterns should be drawn like these from the Islander Sewing Systems. on 16th Mar 2018

    2. Excellent pattern and instructions

Making the women's shirtmaker express was such a good experience that when I wanted a shirt with a convertible collar for my husband, I bought the Islander shirt pattern. It is going together perfectly. The instructions are very clear. I like the seam allowances that change according to the area in which you are sewing. The collar has a beautiful roll. Thank you Janet! on 24th Nov 2017

    3. Outstanding

I finally found patterns to fit my size. I wish you had dress shirt sizes with long sleeves. I would buy that one too! Thanks Jesse on 13th Jun 2017

    4. Great to be able to get patterns for tall men

I haven't actually made the shirt from the pattern I bought but was so thrilled to find a company that sells sewing patterns for tall men. I can't wait to make a Hawaiian shirt that will fit my 6'5" husband. Thank you so much! on 12th Aug 2016

    5. Best Shirt Pattern

I want to make clothing for my husband that he is proud to wear. This is the shirt. I like it so much I am making one for myself. The instructions are clear. on 18th Jun 2016

    6. Looks like pattern perfection.

Haven't sewed it yet, but the instructions look great-I expect I'll get a fantastic shirt out of it, especially for my extra tall son in law-changes should be easy, too. It's a pattern I'll use again and again. on 17th Dec 2014

    7. It really is fast and easy

My first exposure to Islander techniques was in Janet's Craftsy class, Jacket Express. This shirt was less complicated than the jacket but still fun to make. Love the easy construction and it turned out great. I'll be making this one again. on 14th Jun 2014
