The Islander Sewing Systems workshop and certification class is one of Janet's favorite events. The class size is limited and presented in a relaxed setting, April 7-10 2015. Join her for three days of professional techniques and an optional fourth day for those wishing to become a certified Islander Sewing Systems instructor. Students may participate in optional field trips to scout current fashion trends one night and to visit better fabric store on another one evening. The first day and half will consist of making samples from a provided pre-cut kit of the basic Islander Sewing Systems techniques (learning to sew without pins). The next day and half you will construct a shirt from the provided kit. By making this shirt you will learn even more industrial techniques and take home a lovely sample shirt as well.
