I have watched some of these lessons on Craftsy but I have long been a fan of the founder, Margaret Islander. I enjoyed her appearances from on Sandra Betzina’s Sew Perfect. Margaret and Janet are both master sewing people and are humorous and so informative.

Great old friends
I purchased all the Islander videos when they were VHS tapes, and was anxious to have them again in DVD format. Like lots of folks who enjoyed Margaret Islander, I had the opportunity to attend a class of hers during a sewing guild expo, and find the videos useful and engaging always. She was a treasure and a font of knowledge.

This excellent set of eight dvds covers all aspects of sewing professionally with closeup photography. From cutting a pattern, mitring, shirt making to zip insertion - and no pins in sight! The dvds are segmented so you can find exactly what you want. It is like having a tutor in the house. I highly recommend this set to all sewists - both amateur and professional. I only wish I had it years ago.
