Chakoner, Four colors to choose from

I love this tool. It is so easy to use, the marks are clear and fine lines. The chalk is easily removed when you've finished the garment. It lasts a long time and is very easy to use. 1 little piece that marks so clearly--excellent tool!

My old Chakoner had been on its last roller for quite a while. I am glad to have more, and several color choices. Easy to use, nice thin lines, and stays until you brush them away.

No that I'm retired, I'm trying to get back into sewing for myself (not just Halloween costumes and Christmas aprons), so I signed-up for several Craftsy classes including one by Janet Pray. This is where I heard about the Chakoner marker. I have several types of chalk markers, but they all have something I don't like about them--many break easily under my hand, make too thick a line, are difficult to sharpener to a fine point, etc. I was intrigued by the Chakoner and bought a white one online. It gives a very fine line which I love, brushes off easily with the attached plastic brush, and marks right next to the edge of whatever measuring tool I"m using. I liked it well enough to buy a pink one. I will say, I almost called for a replacement the second time because it just didn't seem to work correctly, but it just needed more vigorous "priming" (like getting a new pen to start writing) than the first Chakoner and is now working fine. I cannot comment on ease of refilling yet.
